サーフボードの片付け Putting away of surfing board

サーフィンを終えた後に、皆さんボードをそのままケースに収納していませんか。ボードが海水でまだ濡れている状態でケースに収納するのは、実はあまりお勧めしない手順になります。なぜかというと、海水に濡れたまま収納すると、ケース内が徐々に臭くなってきますし、ジッパー部が海水により錆びたりして、ジッパーの開閉が固くなり、ケースの寿命が短くなってしまいます。時間がない時やお水をあまり用意していない際は、仕方のないことですが、できれば海から上がったら、海水や砂のついたボードを真水で洗い流して、タオルでふき取ってからケースに収納するように心懸けましょう。そうすることで、ケースを長く使うことができますよ。
