早朝サーフィンの訳 Translation of surfing early morning

サーファーはなぜ、朝早くから海に入るのでしょうか。これには理由があります。簡単に言えば、朝はサーファーにとってやっかいな風が昼間に比べると吹いていないからです。それなので、サーファーは全般的に早起きなのです。しっかりとした理由としては、まず空気は暖まると上昇します。これに引き込まれる感じで風はその上昇気流の発生している方向へ吹き込みます。海水は陸に比べて熱がこもりにくいため、温度変化はあまりないのですが、一方で陸地は太陽熱の影響を大きく受けます。夜から朝方にかけては陸地の温度は海水より下がり、風は陸地から海上へ流れ込みます。このため、日が昇って地表が暖まるまでの間はオフショア（陸風）が吹きます。逆に日中は陸地が太陽熱で暖められ、陸地で上昇気流が発生します。このため海上の冷たい空気は陸地に流れ込みオンショア（海風）になってしまうわけです。オンショアが吹いていると、うねりが岸まで来る前に崩してしまい、ぐちゃぐちゃな海上になってしまいます。オフショアはうねりを岸まで支えてくれるので、理想的な風になります。このことから、サーファーは良い波を求めるために朝早く行動するという訳です。早起きは三文の徳はサーフィンにも言えるんですよ。

The land is heated oppositely because of the solar heat in daytime, and the vertical updraft is generated in the land. Therefore, air with a cold sea is flowing sea breeze in the land. If blows, it destroys before undulation comes to the shore, and it becomes a soppy sea. Because offshore supports undulation to the shore, it becomes an ideal wind.
