エアリアル Aerial

　今回はエアリアルをご紹介致します。
　今日、フリーサーフィンの中で新しいテクニックがどんどん開発されています。その中でもエアリアルとは、単なるぶっ飛び系の派手な技ではなく、マニューバーの最新型だといっても過言ではありません。
　波のフェイスの中だけで考えられていましたサーフィンマニューバーが、水面上だけでは収まりきらずに波のトップを越えて空中にまでラインが広がった結果といえます。
　ただ飛ぶだけで結局着水の時点でワイプアウトしてしまうのは本物のエアリアルではありません。トップを描いたラインが再びフェイスにつながり、そしてより高い所から降りてくることで重力がさらに加わりさらなる加速を生み出し、そのスピードで次のマニューバーに挑むハイレベルな技がエアリアルなのです。
　エアリアルをメイクさせるためには、リップにボードをヒットさせるときに後ろ足を蹴り出すタイミングを遅らせます。つまり、波のトップを飛び越えた上空に架空のフェイスをイメージしてラインを描いてトライしてみてください！！
